1. Samhita Siddhanta and Sanskrit

The Department of Samhita Siddhanta & Sanskrit provides the philosophical and theoretical foundation of Ayurvedic education. It focuses on the study of classical texts like Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, and Ashtanga Hridaya, helping students understand core principles such as Tridosha, Panchamahabhuta, Dhatu, Agni, Srotas, Prakriti, and Ojas, and their relevance to clinical practice.The department also strengthens Sanskrit knowledge, enabling students to accurately read and interpret original Ayurvedic texts. Through training in grammar, terminology, and shloka understanding, it builds analytical thinking and a strong scholarly base for advanced clinical learning and research.

3. Kriya Sharir

The Department of Kriya Sharira deals with Ayurvedic physiology, focusing on the functional aspects of the human body in health and disease. It covers key concepts such as Dosha, Dhatu, Mala, Agni, and Srotas, and their role in maintaining physiological balance.Through systematic teaching and clinical correlation, students learn to apply physiological principles in disease understanding and treatment planning. The department also relates classical concepts with modern physiology, building a strong foundation for clinical diagnosis and therapy.

2. Rachana Sharir

The Department of Rachana Sharira focuses on the structural anatomy of the human body as described in Ayurvedic texts, with correlation to modern anatomy. It covers the study of organs, tissues, bones, muscles, joints, vessels, and body systems, providing a strong anatomical foundation for clinical practice.Through cadaveric dissection, practical demonstrations, and visual learning methods, students gain clear and hands-on anatomical knowledge. The department builds a vital base for further study in physiology, pathology, surgery, and other clinical Ayurvedic disciplines.

5. Rasashastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana

The Department of Rasashastra Evam Bhaishajya Kalpana deals with the Ayurvedic pharmaceutical sciences, focusing on the preparation and processing of medicines. Rasashastra covers purification and safe use of minerals, metals, and herbo-mineral compounds, while Bhaishajya Kalpana includes formulation of herbal preparations like churna, kwatha, asava, arishta, taila, ghrita, and avaleha.The department provides practical training in drug preparation, standardization, quality control, dosage, and storage. By combining classical methods with modern safety standards, it prepares students for safe and effective Ayurvedic pharmacy and clinical use.

4. Dravyaguna Vigyana

The Department of Dravyaguna Vijnana focuses on the study of Ayurvedic medicinal substances, especially herbal drugs. It covers identification, classification, properties, and therapeutic uses of medicinal plants based on core principles such as Rasa, Guna, Veerya, Vipaka, and Prabhava.Through practical training, herbarium work, plant identification, and field visits, students gain hands-on knowledge of medicinal resources. By linking classical concepts with modern pharmacology, the department prepares students for safe and rational drug selection in clinical practice.

7. Agada Tantra

The Agada Tantra & Vidhi Vaidyaka Department focuses on Ayurvedic toxicology, emergency care, and medico-legal aspects of medical practice. It covers identification and management of poisons from plant, animal, and artificial sources, including snake bites, scorpion stings, food poisoning, and drug toxicity.The department also trains students in medico-legal duties, ethical practice, forensic evaluation, and proper documentation. By combining toxicology and legal education, it prepares students to manage emergencies and medico-legal situations safely and professionally.

6. Roga Nidan & Vikriti Vigyan

The Department of Roga Nidana Evam Vikriti Vigyan focuses on the Ayurvedic study of disease causes, pathogenesis, diagnosis, and prognosis. It covers key concepts such as Nidana, Purvarupa, Rupa, and Samprapti to help students systematically understand disease development.The department emphasizes clinical examination, diagnostic methods, and assessment of Dosha, Dhatu, Mala, and Srotas involvement. 10. Panchakarma

The Panchakarma Department is dedicated to Ayurvedic detoxification, rejuvenation, and holistic wellness. It focuses on balancing Doshas, eliminating Ama (toxins), and improving physical and mental health through authentic therapies delivered under expert supervision, following classical principles and modern hygiene standards.The unit offers major procedures such as Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya, and Raktamokshana, along with supportive therapies like Abhyanga, Swedana, and Shirodhara. With personalized treatment plans and supervised clinical training for students, the department supports effective disease management, prevention, and long-term wellness.

9. Kayachikitsa

Kayachikitsa is the core clinical branch of Ayurveda dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and management of internal diseases. It emphasizes balancing Doshas, Dhatus, and Malas through classical principles and clinical assessment, training students in disease causation, pathogenesis, clinical features, and holistic treatment approaches.The department provides extensive clinical exposure in managing gastrointestinal, respiratory, metabolic, skin, liver, and psychosomatic disorders. Treatment includes Shamana Chikitsa, Panchakarma, diet and lifestyle regulation, and Rasayana therapy, with a focus on ethical, individualized, and long-term care.

8. Swasthavritta

The Swasthavritta & Yoga Department focuses on preventive healthcare, lifestyle management, and holistic well-being based on Ayurvedic principles. It teaches daily and seasonal regimens (Dinacharya & Ritucharya), diet and nutrition, personal hygiene, ethical conduct, and stress management to support disease prevention and healthy living.Yoga is an integral part of the department, with training in Asanas, Pranayama, Dhyana, and relaxation techniques for physical and mental balance. 12. Shalakya Tantra

Shalakya Tantra is the Ayurvedic specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and management of diseases affecting organs above the clavicle, including the eyes, ears, nose, throat, oral cavity, scalp, and head. It provides detailed knowledge of regional anatomy, pathology, and treatment principles with correlation to modern diagnostic methods, emphasizing early diagnosis and holistic care.The department offers clinical training in conditions such as eye disorders, sinusitis, ear diseases, tonsillitis, oral conditions, and headaches. Students learn and practice procedures like Netra Kriya Kalpas, Nasya, Karnapoorana, Gandusha, Kavala, and Raktamokshana, gaining hands-on skills for effective ENT and ophthalmic care.

11. Shalya Tantra

The Shalya Tantra Department specializes in Ayurvedic surgical and para-surgical care based on the teachings of Acharya Sushruta, integrated with modern clinical practices. It focuses on the diagnosis and management of surgical conditions such as fistula, haemorrhoids, fissures, hernias, wounds, abscesses, traumatic injuries, and benign growths.The department offers specialized procedures including Ksharakarma, Agnikarma, Raktamokshana, and advanced wound care. Students receive hands-on training in operative techniques, patient monitoring, and post-operative management, ensuring safe, ethical, and patient-centered surgical practice.

14. Kaumarbhritya

The Kaumarabhritya Department focuses on comprehensive Ayurvedic paediatric care from infancy through adolescence, emphasizing prevention, growth, development, and management of childhood illnesses. 13. Prasuti Tantra & Stri Roga

The Prasooti Tantra & Stree Roga Department focuses on women’s healthcare, including reproductive health, obstetrics, gynaecology, and maternal wellness. It integrates classical Ayurvedic principles with modern clinical practice to provide holistic care from adolescence through pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause.
